Camilo joined H.I.G. Capital in 2006. His investing efforts are focused in a number of industries, which include healthcare, business services, insurance, logistics, communications, technology and industrials. His board affiliations include ATX Networks, PMSI, Capstone Logistics, Safe-Guard Products, Service Net and Align Networks. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital, Camilo was an Associate with Morgan Stanley in New York and an Investment Analyst at Atticus Capital. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Ryan is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and executing post-closing growth, operational, and add-on acquisition strategies. He has over 10 years of private equity and investment banking experience. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital, Ryan was an Associate and then Vice President at the middle-market private equity firm Quad-C Management. He began his career as an Analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Credit Suisse. Ryan earned a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Rick joined H.I.G. Capital in 1998. He currently co-heads the firm’s Middle Market Fund and remains active in its lower middle market buyout fund. Rick has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including healthcare, business services, specialty chemicals and niche manufacturing. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital, Rick worked at General Electric (GE) and GE Capital as part of their Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions teams, and was a member of the GE Corporate Finance Staff. Rick earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Ken started his career in the telecommunications industry over 35 years ago with Bell Canada. His background includes 10 years in technical operations in the Canadian cable industry with 20 years in senior executive leadership roles with respected companies such as CUC Broadcasting, Trillium Communications, and Capella Telecommunications Inc. Ken has a wealth of experience creating and managing corporate growth, including direct involvement with 10 acquisitions in the cable industry. Ken joined ATX Networks as President in 1999. Since then, he has been instrumental in bringing the Company to its present state of dynamic and continued growth.
Ian was Co-founder of X-Digital Systems Inc., which merged with Pico Digital in 2010. Prior to founding X-Digital Systems, Ian was Executive Vice President and Co-founder of StarGuide Digital Networks, a provider of satellite and Internet transmission and distribution systems for the radio industry. At StarGuide, Ian led business development efforts that expanded the Company’s reach into Japan, while securing business with the major networks across the U.S. radio industry. A registered co-holder of more than 15 U.S. and international patents, Ian earned degrees in Computer Engineering and Middle East Politics from the University of California San Diego.
After his graduate studies in Electro-physics, Mani joined Synchronous Communications and developed optical amplifiers and CATV transmitters. As Chief Technology Officer, Mani led Synchronous through a decade of rapid growth and innovation from 1991 to 2001, when Motorola acquired Synchronous. Mani then led the Optics Center of Excellence for Motorola from 2002 to 2005, focusing on 10G optical transport and FTTH solutions. In 2006, Mani founded InnoTrans. As Chief Executive Officer, Mani led the rapid growth and expansion of InnoTrans to include the tier one cable MSOs. As a technologist with roughly 15 patents, Mani is an acknowledged pioneer and visionary in the CATV optical networks space.
Carlos originally joined Pico Macom in 2002, where he had multiple sales, business development, project management, and operational responsibilities within the organization. In 2005, Carlos was promoted to General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. As President, he oversaw the merger of X-Digital Systems, Pico Macom, and Standard Communications into Pico Digital. He also played a key role in repositioning the Company as an international telecommunications technology company. Carlos earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
