Legacy Amplifer Upgrades

ATX has provided RF amplifier upgrades to the cable operators for more than 30 years. Focused on providing upgrade modules for unsupported legacy* amplifiers, ATX’s HFC Enhance product offering provides MSOs the opportunity to enhance their network in an economical and efficient manner. These drop-in amplifier upgrade modules are DOCSIS® 3.1/CCAP™ compliant.

HFC Enhance QPAL Upgrade Module

ATX provides the QPAL drop-in module upgrade for Texscan and Jerrold  / GI / Motorola line extenders. The QPAL module provides cost-effective and efficient bandwidth enhancements up to 1 GHz. Gain control options include manual gain control (MGC), thermal pad, or automatic gain control (AGC). The interstage response circuit can be user defined in order to accommodate the specific amplifier station spacing in the network. Plug-in diplex filters provide a future-proof solution in the event of new forward/return bandwidth splits.

HFC Enhance QFLAME Upgrade Module

ATX offers the QFLAME drop-in module upgrade for the Texscan / Arris / Antec Flamethrower amplifiers (trunk/mini-bridger). The QFLAME module provides cost-effective and efficient bandwidth enhancements up to 930 MHz. Gain control options include manual gain control (MGC) or automatic slope and gain (ASG). Plug-in diplex filters provide a future-proof solution in the event of new forward/return bandwidth splits. All plug-in accessories (pads, EQs) fully supported. Equipped with 24V power LED indication. Low power consumption GaAs technology.

HFC Enhance HECE1G Upgrade Module

ATX provides the HECE1G 1 GHz drop-in module upgrade for 750 MHz C-Cor 900 series line extenders. The HECE1G module comes with GaN options for high RF output level, high gain or lower power consumption. This module economically increases forward capacity for the addition of new services. It also saves time and money with drop-in upgrades versus complete LE swap and resplice. It enables reuse of legacy line extender housings and power supplies. Gain control options include manual gain control (MGC) or automatic gain control (AGC).

ATX provides the HECE1G 1 GHz drop-in module upgrade for 750 MHz C-Cor 900 series trunks. The HECE1G module comes with GaN options for high RF output level, high gain or lower power consumption. This module economically increases forward capacity for the addition of new services. It also saves time and money with drop-in upgrades versus complete swap and resplice. It enables reuse of legacy line extender housings and power supplies.

HFC Enhance HEADU Upgrade Module

ATX’s HEADU is an automatic gain control (AGC) module designed as a cost-effective, drop-in alternative in Motorola’s STARLINE series amplifiers. The HEADU module monitors a pre-selected analog, CW or QAM channel and adjusts RF gain to maintain constant power. Operators going all-digital will be able to use the QAM ADU module to cost-effectively future-proof their existing installed base.
