Optical Beat Interference (OBI) continues to be an issue for MSOs in order to cost-effectively deploy RFoG, while achieving the service level required by their customers. ATX’s RFoG repeater modules (RRMs) are designed to completely eliminate OBI, but also integrate downstream optical amplification and splitting with upstream transmitter technology. The RRM modules can optionally include express ports to support a PON overlay technology into the network. The RRM modules are currently housed in ATX’s outdoor-hardened, network-powered I-HUB housing. ATX is also developing a rack-based RRM solution.
Reclaim valuable rack space!
Space in headends and hub sites is a growing concern for operators as they deploy more capacity into their networks. As more nodes are segmented and service groups are added, more space is taken up. ATX can reclaim rack space. Learn more about this solution. >
