Optical Passives

ATX’s GigaWave™ portfolio includes a variety of Optical Passives to complement the company’s digital optical transport and amplifier solutions. These field-hardened, low insertion loss filters are designed for use in indoor and outdoor environments and provide flexible options for multiwavelength applications. The expanded family of GigaWave Optical Passives offers a variety of form factors, such as rackmount LGX modules, cassettes, tubes and FOSC trays, and includes channel counts up to 48 with a wide range of options that include multiplexers, demultiplexers, add-drop filters, band combiners as well as red/blue filters for combining or separating different groups of channels. All GigaWave Optical Passives meet Telcordia GR standards, providing excellent environmental and mechanical stability.

Benefits

  • Supports FTTH & Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) – Enables reliable and fiber-efficient Remote PHY (R-PHY)-based node deployments. Applicable for PON Remote-OLT applications.
  • Optimizes Fiber Utilization – Combines or splits up to 48 DWDM channels within 100GHz spacing into/from single fibers.
  • Facilitates Add/Drop Operations – Enables the selective drop off of wavelengths along an optical route without the need or expense of converting every wavelength in the fiber to an electric signal.
